Howdy! Today is September 1, which means two very exciting things around here:
- It’s the start of the church year — so, a fresh start for me and my yearly goals, always fun for me
- It’s PUMPKIN SPICE SEASON! Fall, y’all! Bust out the pumpkin bread, apple cider, scented candles, and cozy vibes. I don’t care that it’s 88 with a Feels Like temperature of 96 today. (Boy oh boy it’s hot though.) I AM READY FOR THE CHILL.
So, I rolled through Starbucks on the way back from drop-off this morning, got my customary pumpkin-spiced beverage, and took my customary pumpkin-spiced September 1 photo once I was home.
As for my goals: today I’ve read far, and I’ve done my CGX workout. I’d like to do a two-mile walk but the heat is a little daunting. I’ll still probably do it while Jarrod gets the kids though. Just…some place shady. And with lots of water — I’m also behind on my water goal. And I need to eat my vegetables and beans. And do my lymphatic moves, which I’ll do just as soon as I’m done with this planning meeting I’m sitting in with Jarrod.
Other things: I applied for three jobs today using ChatGPT’s insanely long tailored resume, and after I do my lymphatic moves I’ll do my personal site work. (While I eat the veggies. Then, my walk. During which I’ll listen to today’s album.) After that it’ll be making supper, dealing with kids, bathing 2 out of 3, hopefully getting a bit of wash folded, eating together & cleaning up the kitchen, packing lunches for tomorrow, doing our family reading time, praying, and then working on my writing before bed. Phew. That is a. day. And it’ll all happen again tomorrow.
